What are you doing?

What are you doing? Have you been living life to the fullest with the abundant life that Jesus spoke about in the scripture? Living the life that God wants for you is simple, but not easy.  Think about where you are in life in different areas like your career, finances, love, and all the other roles that you have and hats that you wear. Think about if you are content. Then, think about are you pleasing God? Are you doing what He called you to do? Doing what God called you to do will make you content and free and is the most important thing. The Bible speaks in John 10:10 and say s, " The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have   it   more abundantly." Jesus came that you may have the abundant life. Do you have a vision for your life or are you existing haphazardly? God has a purpose for you! What are you doing? Over the next few posts, we will be doing some vision work, 2 minutes at a time.

Vision Planning: Making Your Dreams Come True - Part 1

Welcome to part 1 of your Vision Planning.

You will need a notebook to keep this information in as we go along.

Remember as someone thinks within himself, so he is (Proverbs 23:7).

Think about noble, right things, pure things, lovely things, admirable things, and excellent, praiseworthy things (Philippians 4:8) while doing this planning.

God wants what's best for you.... do you want what's best for you?

Be brilliant as you are. Be encouraged. Learn about yourself and understand you have a great purpose in life.

WHO ARE YOU?

In a notebook, on the first page, jot down 5 to 50 words that describe you. You can write down more, but there must be at least 5 words.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE?

On the next page, write down all the things you like to do and all your favorite things.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF?

Think about 10 years from now.

Have a mental picture of 10 years from now.

Where do you see yourself?

What would you be doing for a living?

Where are you living?

Where are you working?

Who is with you?

How much do you make?

Answer as many questions like these as possible that illustrate where you see yourself in 10 years.

Use as much space as you like and be as specific as possible. Be creative. What do you honestly see happening in your life by then? If you need to, close your eyes and envision a scene from the future. Write down everything you see in this vision.

Repeat the WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF step for 5 years, 2 years, 1 year, 6 months, and 1 month.

WHAT ARE YOUR VALUES

On a new page, write down your values, causes you believe in, and what you are all about in life, basically.

Stay tuned tomorrow as we discuss YOUR PERSONAL VISION.
