What are you doing?

What are you doing? Have you been living life to the fullest with the abundant life that Jesus spoke about in the scripture? Living the life that God wants for you is simple, but not easy.  Think about where you are in life in different areas like your career, finances, love, and all the other roles that you have and hats that you wear. Think about if you are content. Then, think about are you pleasing God? Are you doing what He called you to do? Doing what God called you to do will make you content and free and is the most important thing. The Bible speaks in John 10:10 and say s, " The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have   it   more abundantly." Jesus came that you may have the abundant life. Do you have a vision for your life or are you existing haphazardly? God has a purpose for you! What are you doing? Over the next few posts, we will be doing some vision work, 2 minutes at a time.

Give it to God!

Please enjoy this devotional meditation on giving your anxiety to God! I pray it blesses you and gives you a picture of what can happen when you just give your cares to Him. More to come from my first devotional meditation album...

God is for YOU!

Fight your battles for God by letting God fight your battles for you.  God wants to help you and He loves you, so let Him fight your battles. Give Him your burdens, give him your cares, and your worries. He is the One who can change things. Today, my prayer for us is to let things go. Let go of the hurt and any ill feelings that we have. Let go of the negativity. Let go of the influences in our lives that are not Godly. Let's move on to positivity. Think about these two words and their meanings. Negative and positive. Negativity will produce a negative outcome to the neutral events in our lives and we don't need that at all. Being positive literally means to be confident, constructive, and optimistic. It means to characterize based on the presence of features and not the absence of them. Let's count our blessings rather than dwelling on what we don't have at the moment. Keep first the kingdom of God and everything will be added on to us. These things will be given to

Cut them down!

In Exodus 34:13, the Bible reads, "Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles." God wanted His people to remove any items related to the pagan worship and idolatry that other nations had practiced. He did not want His people to do these practices, but to destroy them and any evidence of them. At times, God's people rebuilt these places and the Asherah poles. Some of the kings would remove them and others would install them again. God does not want us to worship gods or anything beside Him. And some, correct me if I am wrong, would turn to God but leave these places and poles in tact. What did this imply? But what are the modern day Asherah poles? Are there any in our lives? What are the items, people, places, or ideas that we are building up that we need to tear down? Are we putting something above God or in the place of His Word knowingly or unknowingly? Did we turn to God but hold on to these items, people, places, or ideas? Why

Change Your Luck!

Want to go from being stuck to having luck? Well, first, don't look for luck. Seek God's blessings. Seek His kingdom and its righteousness first and everything will be added on to you. Live by this and you will see things change.  Look at Job in the Bible. His greatest fears became a reality and his friends thought he was stuck and must have sinned or done something to get in his situation. But situations are just that, situations. They are not permanent nor do they define you.  Keep your attitude positive. Keep looking for Jesus in the situation, because there is a lesson in it that you must learn or else it will keep repeating itself or prolong the situation. What you should do instead is start praising God for what is happening and know that blessings are on their way to you. Sometimes, things go awry while a great blessing is on its way to you. Don't take this personal or worry. Just pray and praise God! Change your luck with prayer and praise. Prayer and praise change

Keep it Moving!

In the Bible, Isaac dug wells in Genesis 26:18-25. Isaac dug the first well and others quarreled over it. He had another well dug, and that one was quarreled over, too. Then, he moved and dug another and no one quarreled over it. He named that place Rehoboth and said, “For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” Next, he went to Beersheba, where the Lord God blessed him, and he made an altar, pitched his tent, and had a well dug there. Sometimes, in life, we can build a well and others will quarrel over it with us. We think it is ours, but circumstances will force us to move elsewhere. It may be a career move, when someone else gets the position or promotion we desired, or it may be a home that we want to buy and someone else makes a higher offer for it at the last minute. No matter what happens, keep it moving! God has big plans for us, so, keep it moving. We will land that position and get that home. The one that is meant for us and where God will b

Always Pray!

Always Pray! Never stop praying. Praying is a direct connection to God. Take advantage and make use of this avenue. Think about it! You get to speak straight to God and thank Him, give Him your requests, ask for forgiveness of sins, pray for others, and the list goes on. The Bible teaches to be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray (1 Peter 4:7). Prayer is so important to daily living. Pray everyday. Pray often. Pray several times each and every day. Thank God for a new day. Thank Him for your loved ones. Thank Him for your situations, both good and bad, because all things are working out for the good (Romans 8:28).  When you don't pray, the enemy has gains an opportunity to influence your mind. If you not talking to God, who do you think is talking to you? When you don't pray, you will grow weak spiritually. It is best to always pray!  Never stop praying. Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). This verse is sandwiched between Rejoice (v 16) and in every t
